The Bard Returns to the Boulevard with first Performance Friday

The Kenilworth Public Library announced that a special performance of "The Complete Words of William Shakespeare Abridged", a humorous presentation of all of Shakespeare's plays within a 90-minute time span, has been chosen to kick off event for the library's fourth annual, "The Bard on the Boulevard" Shakespeare festival.
The performance by the Hudson Shakespeare Company will take place at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, in the library's main reading room. The library's doors will open no sooner thatn 6:50 p.m.
Because space is limited preregistration will be required and preference will be given to residents of Kenilworth.
If space permits, residents of communities other than Kenilworth may register for this program. The number to call to register is 908-276-2451. The Kenilworth library is located at 548 Boulevard.
Other performances in this year's "Bard on the Boulevard" series is "The Merchant of Venice" on June 28, "The Two Noble Kinsmen" on July 24, "Romeo and Juliet" on Aug. 16 and "Medea" by Euripides on Aug. 23.
These performances are scheduled to be performed at 7:30 p/m. and will be performed at the football field at David Brealy High School located at North 14th Street and the Boulevard.
Preregistration will not be required for any of these performances and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or other outdoor seating as no other seating will be provided and the football bleachers will not provide an adequate viewing experience.
In the event of rain, performances will be moved indoors to the main reading room of the Kenilworth Public Library, located at 548 Boulevard.
Sponsors for this year's "Bard on the Boulevard" include the Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce, gold level - S. Seltzer Construction and the Friends of the Kenilworth Public Library, silver level - Atlantic Federal Credit Union and Synergy Bank, bronze level - Three Guys from Italy restaurant.
